Description:

This website allows for users to reinforce their skills by using math practice tools for teachers, families, and children.  It can be used for preschool through 12th grade.  There are over 100 skills listed and  are organized into comprehensive categories.  Students will be able to practice: time, measuring, geometry, graphing, and money selections.

Each selection is age appropriate for children to practice.  It gives detailed reports, shows you the number of questions attempted and missed.  It will also track if a student has mastered each practice skill.

The program will track the amount of time spend on any given skill.

IXL is not a curriculum or lesson plan,  it reinforces skills that are already taught in the classroom.

Teacher Guide:

IXL is an excellent math practice website. It has a good variety of problem types, good reporting, and is easy to use. It can supplement any math curriculum you currently use, it can be used for review/reinforcement - or even for some summer "fun" math time.

All of IXL's dynamic math practice skills are aligned to state standards, making it easy to find the right skills to practice. IXL assesses your students' performance on each standard instantly, so you'll have all the information you need to prepare them for standardized testing. Click on your state to view your state's standards and start practicing.
