Description: Teen Second Life is a program designed for students ages 13-17 and is used as an educational environment that promotes distance learning. This site allows students to create a virtual person and roam through the teen second life world and speak to other students who are also exploring the world. Teen Second Life is a safe environment that only allows teens to roam the site.  Basic information is gathered from each student to insure they are within the age range to participate in teen second life.  Teen second life is great for students because it teaches them how to mange their life in certain aspects that would be impossible to realize at a young age in real life.  Some examples would include meeting other students from different countries, gathering information from other countries and speaking to people who are dealing with different issues, etc.  Teen second life is a great site for teens to be able to interact with each other and provide feedback on various topics.

Tips For Teachers:

- Teachers should try and make a safe world for their students to participate in.  Teachers can set up conferences with other classes and other teachers so that they know who their students are interacting with at all times.

- It is also important to make sure that teachers are aware of how their students have dressed their character online and to make sure that they are acting appropriately on the sit.
